Concerning This Journal

I’ve been thinking this over for a few weeks and I think it’s time to make a post about it now. I really want to change the name of this journal. I hardly ever update it now because chinpo_musings is a name I just don’t want to use anymore.

I can’t purchase one of those rename tokens that LJ makes you buy, so that means I’ll have to create an entirely new journal. -_- I really don’t want to do that, but I’m desperate for a new name.

My main reasons for wanting a new username are explained under the cut.

Basically I feel like I don’t have an identity. Since I created a fanfiction journal months before I created a personal journal, everything is a little weird and backwards for me. Instead of chinpo_musings being the personal journal of kaorus_beard, I want kaorus_beard to be the fanfiction journal of chinpo_musings. Except it wouldn’t be chinpo_musings since I want to change it. ^^;;

I use kaorus_beard to join/watch communities, post in communities, and make comments. I treat it like it’s a normal personal journal, but it isn’t. kaorus_beard is a fanfiction archive and not really a user at all, so I want to use my personal journal to do everything I mentioned above instead.

And that would all be extremely simple if I didn’t dislike my username so much. ^^;; I really need to break away from the whole “chinpo” thing.

So in conclusion:

1. To change the name of this journal, I would have to buy a rename token. *kicks stupid LJ* I’m unable to do that (and explaining that would just mean more babbling), which leaves the option of creating a new journal.

2. If I create a new journal, I won’t delete this one. I’ll simply stop updating it.

3. No changes will be made to kaorus_beard. I’m perfectly satisfied with that journal. :D The management of my graphics community will be handed over to my personal journal.

4. A change will probably be weird at first, but I’m ready for it!

I’ll be posting more info about this once I’ve decided exactly what I want to do.
